Chez Reavie Holding A One Stroke Lead At The CJ Cup

Chez Reavie shot a 4-under 68 on Thursday at The Club at Nine Bridges in Jeju Island, South Korea. It was a very impressive round on a very windy day. He currently holds a one shot lead over Danny Willet. There is a logjam of players at 2-under par.

There are many big names in the field this week in Korea. Players have had to deal with different weather conditions the past couple of weeks. The windy conditions on the Jeju Island on Thursday has halted the big names from scoring low so far.

Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas are paired with each other in a race for number one in the world. Brooks got the best of the two with a 1-under 71 on Thursday. He fought off the tough conditions and carded four birdies against three bogeys. Koepka, currently world No. 3, needs to win this week or finish solo second (without Thomas winning) in order to reach the top spot in the rankings for the first time in his career.

Justin Thomas shot a 1-over 73 on his first round. He currently sits at number 4 in the world and needs win the tournament to reclaim the top spot in the world.
