Scoring Records Set During Round 1 of The Players

Scoring records fell frequently on day one of the 2016 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Jason Day tied the course record with a nine under 63 and Shane Lowry shot the first ever back nine 29 in tournament history. Thursday was the lowest scoring day since the tournament moved to May in 2007.
