What if Golfer’s Had Walk-Up Music?

Golf is the only major sport that isn’t played in some type of arena or stadium where they are able to blast loud music. But what if it was? In baseball, players have walkup songs and in basketball and football the stadium usually plays pre-game warm-up music that the team selects.

What if golf had walk-up music to the first tee? That would be the greatest single thing golf could do to appeal to the younger generation. This also begs the question of what would you choose for your song? Something relaxed and mellow to get you focused? Or something intense and loud to get you amped up for the first tee shot?

While you think about that, here are some walk-up songs that would fit great with the golfers that we all know and love:

Tiger Woods

We obviously have to start with Tiger and there can be only one choice for this spot. Play the video of Tiger walking below with Eye of the Tiger playing in the background and it’s perfect.

Matt Kuchar

Kuchar is everyone’s weird uncle. His odd Skecher’s commercials are cringe worthy and he always has a smile on his face while he speaks, which is kinda scary. I thought something funky would fit him:

Bubba Watson

Bubba is a tricky one. He once admitted that he was really good friends with Justin Bieber and has said that he would pick this weird song in the past. He was also a member of that hideous “Golf Boys” group. Bubba was asked once and this was what he picked:

Phil Mickelson

Phil seems like a classic rock guy:

Rory McIlroy

Rory has a lot of famous friends and has always said he is a big fan of music. He once picked this hit song from Avicii as one of his favorites:

Dustin Johnson

D.J. is one of the most lowkey players you will ever see. He rarely shows his emotion and I can see him strolling up to the first tee to this jam:

Jordan Spieth

Jordan is known as a big country music fan, and good friends with Jake Owen, so here is a jam that I can see him walking up to the first tee to:

Rickie Fowler

Fowler is a SoCal boy and there is no doubt that he likes to get pumped up before a round:

Jason Day

Day is a big fan of Coldplay and there new hit song matches him well:

Miguel Angel Jimenez

The most interesting man in the world has a certain way about him and there is a shroud of uncertainty about him when he walks up to the tee. This would make it even better:

Runner up:

Charley Hoffman

Chuck seems like a wild guy, mostly because of his long blonde hair that you can see from a mile away.

Boo Weekley

It doesn’t get more country than Boo, so I went for the slam dunk.

Keegan Bradley

Keegan is known as a huge Boston sports fan and this song fits him perfectly:
