The Masters awards the legendary green jacket every year to its winner, but what about other tournaments? We take a look at the “other” jackets in the world of golf starting with this week’s RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.
RBC Heritage
The RBC Heritage has been giving out it’s plaid jacket for years and although it isn’t something that you would wear out at night, it does look decent on a golf course.
Quail Hollow
Simple and classic is how I would describe this blazer. The tournament organizers didn’t want to mess around and just went for a classic navy blue blazer. Could be better, but also could be worse.
Arnold Palmer Invitational
Again just a simple navy blazer that fits perfectly with Arnold Palmer. A timeless color that will be worn for years to come.
Crowne Plaza Invitational
Did they just copy the RBC Heritage or the other way around? Either way it’s a red plaid jacket that should only be stuck deep in the closet.
Australian Masters
Pass. This yellow mustard jacket is given to the annual winner of Australia’s version of the Masters and let’s just say that the green jacket looks a whole lot better.
Volvo China Open
Now that’s a jacket! The Volvo China Open went with a local flair and hand out a traditional golden jacket to the winner each year. This has my vote for the best of the bunch.
PGA Grand Slam of Golf
Not much you can say here, just a simple pink jacket. They should be complimented for not going with a bright pink.
The Masters
The iconic green jacket is a classic and will forever be the most famous jacket in golf.
