Bridgestone Invitational: 5 for ‘Blue Dress Girl’ to Follow

Last year at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Rory McIlroy won the tournament but the show was stolen by the girl in the blue dress who shadowed the World No. 1, trying to get his attention.

In doing so, she captured our attention.

This year, he man Rory isn’t in the field — busy at home rehabbing the ankle injury that has kept him from defending his titles at Firestone and the Open Championship.  So who should Ashley Bongiovanni be following around this week in Akron?

Here are five players she might enjoy following:

World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational - Final Round

Adam Scott – He may be married, but from what I’m told, Adam Scott is still dreamy. He may not follow her on Twitter at week’s end (he hasn’t tweeted anything since April 6) but hey, at least he’ll be fun to watch.

Drop-dead good looks aside, Scott is one of the world’s best and with Stevie Williams back on the bag, Bongiovanni might end up being front and center for Scott’s return to form.

Brooks Koepka – Now that he’s a PGA Tour winner, Brooks Koepka is no longer under the radar. In fact, he’s pretty much smack-dab in the middle of it, as experts try to figure out when his next big win will come.

Koepka’s relationship status has kind of flown under the radar. He doesn’t talk much about it and there’s no real publicity about his significant other (if he has one), so if Bongiovanni is still looking for a player to latch onto, Koepka might be a decent option.

I mean, enough said there, right?

Francesco Molinari – Buongiorno, sono Francesco Molinari e io sono un campione giocatore. Siete una bella ragazza. Volete cenare stasera dopo la fine del campo infliggendo al WGC-Bridgestone Invitational?

Again, need there be more said?

Danny Lee – Now that he’s a PGA Tour winner, you’d think Danny Lee would have himself an orderly queue of women lined up waiting to be taken to dinner. According to Lee, however, that hasn’t been the case.

Maybe Bongiovanni could try and capture the attention of Mr. Lee this week and the two could enjoy dinner one night in Akron? I hear Crave is a nice little spot?

Disclaimer: Obviously, this is all a big joke, all of this is in jest — except, of course, for Danny Lee who deserves a date with a nice girl.
