Bubba Watson Cares: Auctioning Rare Classic Car for Charity

Bubba Watson is giving Phil Mickelson, his wife amy and their charity, Birdies for the Brave a nice hand next week with the donation of his 1939 Cadillac LaSalle C-Hawk Custom Roadster.

Birdies for the Brave was founded by the Mickelsons in 2006 with the goal of helping combat-injured troops coming back from war. They have been successful at raising almost $13 million dollars through partnerships with the PGA and TPC.

Bubba Watson’s dad was a Green Beret (same as Rambo) during the Vietnam War, so this act of charity definitely is close to home for the Watson family.

“It’s an honor to support the Green Beret Foundation and Birdies for the Brave, who do so much to give back to members of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families.”

As for the car, the black beauty is being auctioned off on January 16, 2015 with Bubba in attendance to see how much is classic is going to fetch.
