Exciting First Week at The Barclays | Hunter Mahan Wins

Hunter Mahan used birdies on five of his last nine holes on Sunday to shoot a six under par 65 and take command of the FedEx Cup Playoffs with his win at The Barclays. Mahan who has played in all 28 playoff events continues his quest for the overall prize a $10 million dollar check at the end. With the win Mahan moves into the #1 spot in the FedEx Cup standings.

Stuart Appleby tried to keep pace with Mahan but fell short on the back nine and had to settle for second after a round of six under par 65 to jump into the top twenty in the standings heading to next week in Boston. Appleby tied for second with Cameron Tringale, and Jason Day at twelve under par two shots back of the winner. Ernie Els, William McGirt, and Matt Kuchar rounded out the top five finishing at eleven under par.
