Leishman “Smoking the Tires” at The WGC Bridgestone Invitational

Marc Leishman burned up the course at the Firestone Country Club with an opening round six under par, 64 to take command after day one in Akron, Ohio. With all eyes on different story lines at the WGC, Leishman went about his own business and takes a one stroke lead heading into Fridays second round. Ryan Moore is tied for second at five under par with Charl Schwartzel and Justin Rose. Patrick Reed, Francesco Molinari, Graham DeLaet, and “The Human Highlighter” Rickie Fowler are at three under par, two shots back of the leader. There is another five guys tied for ninth at two under par, including defending champion, Tiger Woods.

  Other notables, FedEx Cup point’s leader, Jimmy Walker is at one under par, tied for 14th with Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, and Bubba Watson. Phil Mickelson sits at one over par, T35.  What a leader board, so many brilliant players within a couple shots of the lead. It’s looking to be a remarkable weekend of golf in the Buckeye State, so on to moving day on Friday “Don’t spin your wheels” our you will be left behind.
