Sixty-nine of the world’s best golfers will try to tame the new and improved Blue Monster at the WGC- Cadillac Championship at Doral. It will include the number one player in the world, Tiger Woods who will be looking to defend his Cadillac title. Woods will be paired in the first two rounds with the number two and three players in the world, Adam Scott and Henrik Stenson.
Other notable names to look for are last week’s winner Russell Henley, Phil Mickelson, Rory Mcllroy, and one of the hottest players on tour Jimmy Walker. The big question early at Trump Doral is whether players will embrace the redesign of the Blue Monster or be an epic fail.
Donald Trump who bought Doral has put his own touch on the resort, which includes the Blue Monster, officially known as Trump National Doral. He brought in Gil Hanse, the architect who is designing the 2016 Olympic golf course in Rio, for the makeover. Whether the changes are for the better or not, won’t be known until Thursday after the first round is complete.
Many will voice their opinion after the round, but only one voice will matter in the end, Donald Trump.
