Club Crown by Vive Review: Customize Your Head

Let’s first start by clarifying what a ClubCrown is.  I’m sure many of you have heard of it or maybe even saw the photo we posted but weren’t quite sure how it works or what it is.

The ClubCrown is thin adhesive weighing only 2 grams, which is about 1% of your club head weight.  The adhesive allows you to personalize the crown of your driver, fairway woods or hybrids, hence the name ClubCrown.  Not only does it allow you to sport your favorite team, or design etc, it also protects your club from sun burns and nicks that might normally occur. The film is removable and conforms to USGA rules and is made in the USA.

We were excited when ClubCrown asked us to collaborate with them to make a customized cover with our Bunkers Paradise logo.  (Just so you know, they can make customized ClubCrown’s as long as you order 12 or more).  Maybe I’m biased, but I think our logo looks quite nice on a ClubCrown.  I decided on a white background with our orange and green logo on the top of the ClubCrown.  I currently use a Cleveland Classic XL Custom Driver so I shipped that over to ClubCrown and within days I had a package arrive with the ClubCrown logo on the box in return.  I have to admit, I was a little excitement as I couldn’t wait to see our logo on a ClubCrown.  I have seen ClubCrown covers in person before, but not a customized one so I was interested in seeing how it turned out.

Looks:

Do I really have to write a break down on how this thing looks?  Just look at the photos and you can see for yourself that it turned out amazing.  Our logo looks crisp, clean and professional.  It almost looks at though ClubCrown was meant just to make our logo… Ok, let’s not get crazy.  In all seriousness, the final results look great.  The cover is wrapped so tight on the crown of the driver that you can’t even tell it’s there.  It’s almost as if the golf club came that way.  I am afraid to use my driver because I don’t want to mess up such a beautiful masterpiece.  I understand that not everyone is going to want a ClubCrown cover on their driver because visually it might mess up your swing mojo.  But honestly, it isn’t that hard to get used to looking down at and you will get used to it, trust me.

Other:

What amazes me more than how well done the ClubCrowns are made is the pricing.  I can’t believe that most covers only cost $39.99.  That means all of us “budget” golfers can afford one, which I think is fantastic.  Since it’s almost Christmas, I couldn’t think of a better $40.00 gift for a loved one.

ClubCrown mentioned that they want to build up a giant library of content for people all over the world to choose from.  They even encourage people to come up with new designs.  So all you artists, get working. You can email them at [email protected]

In the very near future they will be adding a customization tool that allows you to put corporate logos, monograms or family photos etc. on a ClubCrown.

The last thing I wanted to touch on was the wide range of ClubCrown’s that already exist and that you can choose from.  When you head over to their website you will find numerous options to choose from including animal prints, flames, college team logos, U.S. Military and skulls to name a few.

Here are just a few of the options available.
