What’s Your Golf Bucket List?

A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I made our way to the bookstore before we went to go see “Last Vegas”.  While she was browsing through books, I helped myself over to the magazine section and started flipping through the various golf publications they had in stock.  I found myself reading the articles about the beautiful courses all over the world, along with the several golf trails and vacations one can go on by themselves or with their friends.

When the time came, we went to the theater and began watching the film.  I won’t give any spoilers, but the idea of the movie is four elderly lifelong friends meet up in Las Vegas for a bachelor party.  Throughout the movie you learn about each character’s past and the things they regret not or never being able to do in their lifetime.  As the movie is playing, in my head I am thinking to myself, “Man there’s a whole lot I want to do before I get to their age.”

I woke up the following morning and decided that it was too cold and windy to head the course today, so might as well get my practice in somehow and popped in Tiger Woods 2014.  I started playing the game and decided to play a round at TPC Scottsdale.  When I reached the 16th hole, Jim Nantz’s voiceover comes on and explains the legend behind the 16th hole.  Once he’s done finishing the story, I begin to play the hole.  As I play, I just randomly say out loud, “Man, I really wanna sit in with that crowd one day.” And then it hits me: I need to write out my own Golf Bucket List!

Sure, some people I know have a creative Bucket List in general, but I wonder if anyone has a really a creative Golf Bucket List.  I went through my laptop and copied over all the items on my bucket list that were golf related and decided to add more.

Here’s a lil’ look at what I have done and would like to do before I run out of range balls down the road:

  • Hit a Hole in One
  • Break 80
  • Go to All Four Major Championships
  • Play several different golf trails (Particularly Robert Jones Trail in Alabama)
  • Chug a Beer with John Daly
  • Go to the WM Phoenix Open and sit in the 16th Stadium seats.
  • Break 70
  • Play golf with Bill Murray
  • Meet Jack Nicklaus, create a Jack Nicklaus drink and start a beverage product rivarily between Jack and Arnold
  • Make my girlfriend/wife play a full round of golf with me. (Sorry Steph.)
  • Go on a golf vacation adventure with my Dad.

Like I said before, this is just a little look into what I’ve come up with so far.  There’s plenty more and I will probably add  a lot more on in the future.  Although some of the tasks are extremely impossible, I can still entertain myself with the idea that it might actually come true.  Besides, half the fun about a Bucket List is creating it!

Completing it would be the icing on the cake!

So, what are you waiting for?

Do you have a list  or have you completed a task on the list that would like to share?

Post your list, task completions or even share ideas in the comment section and our forum, Facebook and twitter!
