Tiger Woods Falls From Top 50 Rankings for First Time Since 1996

The fall of Tiger Woods continues into the off-season. After the most dismal season of his career Woods has dropped out of the top 50 rankings for the first time since 1996.

Woods hasn't won a tournament in nearly two years, and was especially bad this season after returning from a leg injury. The new rankings mean that Woods streak of 778 consecutive weeks inside the top 50 is officially over after nearly 15 years, dating to when Woods was No. 61 on Oct. 13, 1996.

The last time Woods was on the course was when he missed the cut at the season's final major, the PGA Championship, but is planning on returning to golf this week for the Frys.com Open.

Woods could very well return to the top 50 rankings on the PGA Tour, but will he ever get back to the top 10-15?
