Taylormade Spider Mallet Putter | Quick Look Review

What do you look for when buying a new putter?  Stability?  Great feel?  These features are very important when choosing a putter.  Taylormade’s Spider Mallet putter has both of these features.

Features and Technology:

The Spider Mallet putter has features that help with balance.  The putter has a multi-material construction that allows the putter to have weighted stability in the heel and toe.  Also, this putter comes with a 130 gram grip that counterbalances with it’s heavy head.

From Taylormade:

According to our Tour Staff pros, that helps make it easier to keep the head moving on your intended path to promote increased accuracy.

This mallet is available in both 38 and 35 inches in length.  If you normally putt with a 35 inch putter, you should buy this putter in 38 inches.  If you would normally use a 33 inch putter, you should use the 35 inch putter.  The extra length of the putter extended above your hands when gripping this putter will give the player maximum counterbalancing.

Want a putter that is easy to align?  This putter has a white leading edge with a linear alignment aid in the cavity.  These features will make lining up your putt easier.  The Spider Mallet also contains a PureRoll Surlyn insert that will advance a soft, solid feel and a smooth roll.

Final Thoughts:

I love the look of this putter.  It has a great line and will give off more confidence at address.  I have trouble keeping the putter steady during my stroke, the extra weight at the heel and toe will providing balance and stability.  This putter is available right now, get the correct length and go make some putts!

You discussed the features and left us with that you liked the look. Did you try the putter out? Did the features actually help you make more putts?

This was well written, and I’ve always like the Pure Roll insert. A real world review would be great.
