When I first saw the name of this particular putter, the Red X, I was immediately intrigued. Scotty Cameron has made a career out of making crafty designs and innovative clubs, but the Red X might be the most impressive of all. The Scotty Cameron Red X has been listed as a mallet putter, and apparently started out as a concept putter almost two years ago. It was originally code named the Cabriolet, but was renamed when released to the public. The Scotty Cameron Red X is comprised of a stainless steel body with a premium precision-milled German insert. Basically, this club is durable and reliable, and a very interesting approach to putting.

After trying out the Scotty Cameron Red X putter I have to say that it is a wonderful device to use on the green. I was instantly pleased with the level of performance it offered. The ball jumps off the face of the putter but never seems out of control, and never seems to go much further than you originally intended. Even the longer, more difficult putts were easier to handle than with most putters. Control is the name of the game when it comes to putting, and I felt that the Scotty Cameron Red X gave the user an incredible amount of control.
