So, I have spent the past few months dedicated to perfecting my putting. With work and family, it’s hard for me to get in a full 18 holes on the weekend. I decided I would focus on the worst part of my game. Practice, practice, practice could only improve my playing, right? Dedicating my time to one aspect of my beloved sport could only elevate my entire playing style... or so I thought. I went out today and played a round and found that my putting did improve (barely) but the rest of my game has suffered in the meantime. I’ve always known that golf requires consistency but who knew that in a few short months I would have altogether forgotten how to play!
I feel like I am back at square one and it’s time for me to reevaluate my equipment and start meeting with my pro (again). This is how golf pulls me back in every time. My competitive side just can’t lose to myself.
