While Nike is one of the most recognized brand names on the planet, in the world of golf it is relatively an infant. It only recently entered the golfing stratosphere, but they have begun to produce clubs and other equipment that really knows how to perform on the course. Their latest hybrid club is known as the Slingshot, and it is going to continue Nike's growing tradition as a golf powerhouse. Nike has been widely criticized by certain professionals who feel they lack certain qualities to produce professional golf clubs, but with the release of the Slingshot hybrid and other similar clubs, Nike is proving that they definitely belong.

The Slingshot hybrid has a very low center of gravity, which is actually quite obvious just by looking at the club with the naked eye. This low center of gravity is made possible by weight-saving carbon that Nike designed the crown with, and helps drive 70% of the club head mass below the equator of the ball. When I first used the Nike Slingshot I failed to remember a club that presents its center of gravity lower. The performance and skill level of the Slingshot hybrid are top-notch, and I was immediately impressed with what it could do.
While the performance is definitely an intriguing factor, the appearance is another strong selling point for Nike. The Slingshot hybrid, just like many other Nike clubs, is one of the best looking hybrid clubs I have seen recently. Nike does a fabulous job of displaying a clubs dominance, hiding it in plain sight for all to see. The metallic shine and the glimmer of the chrome oozes style, and this is almost a guaranteed confidence boost for any user. While having skills on the course is certainly the most important thing, it sure is fun having a club that makes you look like you know what you're doing as well.
