Nickent 3DX Pro Irons

Written by on January 6, 2010 in Nickent Golf Clubs - No comments

Nickent has been a brand that is mostly associated with the design and production of hybrid clubs, getting into the game with the hybrid boom.  However, with the release of the 3DX Pro irons, they are proving that they can produce professional styled irons as well as hybrids, and that sometimes newer brands can jump the bar that the older, more prestigious brands have set.  The Nickent 3DX Pro irons feature modernized design and technology, while still showing a more classic appearance.  These clubs provide the user with a solid feel as well as good looks, which are a solid combination for any golfing enthusiast.

The design and technology featured in the Nickent 3DX Pro irons are nothing to turn your nose at.  These irons construct a tungsten composite sole weight, and solid, stylish, understated backs.  They have a topline that is average in thickness, and a very consistent blade length throughout the entire set.  The markings on the 3DX Pro irons are stylish as well, as a dash of color complements the brand and series signatures.

When I took the Nickent 3DX Pro irons out on the course I was unsure what to expect.  I was a fan of their hybrids, but that is to be expected with Nickent.  The club has a little more power than I was expecting, as a few of my first shots went much further than I was originally intending.  However, once I adjusted my strength and got a little more accustomed to the clubs I found it performed very favorably.  They are some of the strongest irons I have used, so be aware that they are going to give you a little bit of lift and distance.  If you prefer an iron that is going to give you less power and a little more control, I would recommend going with a different brand of irons.
