The MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Tour driver is a driver that has been aimed towards higher skilled players, which sometimes scares people away. However, when I got to use the MACTEC NVG2 I noticed that it was still a fairly forgiving club, and this intrigued me. Many times I notice that clubs that aren't meant for beginning players, such as many of Titleist's products, are not forgiving at all. This is one of the main reasons I recommend less experienced users stay away from them. While the MACTEC NVG2 is certainly steered towards higher skilled players, it still is a forgiving driver that can blast the ball long, loud, and straight.

The MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Tour driver is slightly different than its first generation counterpart. It is slightly larger, especially the club head, and utilizes two different types of titanium. The technology that is featured in this particular driver is up to the level of the more prestigious golf powerhouses. The face of the driver has a pattern of shallow score lines and punch dots, and features an important upgrade for many users from the previous model. The MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Tour driver is a very high performing club, and certainly meets the qualifications that most users demand from a powerful driver.
In terms of appearance, the MACTEC NVG2 is one of the most gritty, serious drivers I have seen. This club is all business, and it has the looks to back that up. A fancy, somewhat elaborate club head includes two black polyurethane inserts that go a long ways in helping to tune the sound and feel of the club upon impact. Many users will love this feature, as it really improves the level of professionalism the MACTEC NVG2 exhibits.
