At the BMW Championship this past weekend Justin Rose walked away with the championship. The tournament was played at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, IL, and ended up being a very exciting event.
Rose started off the tournament with a very impressive first round 63 before faltering a bit in the final three rounds. However, he managed stay ahead of the competition and win the tournament after shooting 13-under for the tournament.
Rose won the BMW Championship by two strokes over Australia's John Senden, who shot a final round 69 to put him one stroke ahead of Geoff Ogilvy, who finished third.
Rose, Senden and Ogilvy were the only three players with scores 10-under or better, but 21 total golfers finished the tournament under par.
The final round wasn't the most exciting 18 holes of golf, but Rose proved himself a worthy champion after holding off his two Australian competitors. Back-to-back birdies from Senden around the turn proved a problem for Rose, who shot a bogey on nine. Rose recovered nicely, saving par on 13 and 14 before finishing things off on 18.
Luke Donald, who is the world's No. 1, finished alone in fourth after shooting 68 on Sunday.
