Hybrid clubs are no longer rare commodities in the golfing world, and have become some of the most common and most useful clubs available. Many different hybrids claim to offer certain traits or characteristics to ensure their club will receive the best possible reviews. Nickent has released a new line of clubs that blends hybrids with irons, and are meant to re-engineer loft progression amongst golfers. While Nickent is not one of the mainstream golfing gurus, with the release of the 3DX Hybrid irons they have immediately thrown themselves into the mix as a legitimate hybrid iron manufacturer.

When it comes to iron aesthetics the Nickent 3DX is one of the best. It is well-known around the golfing world that the 8-iron is one of the toughest clubs to manufacture. The shape of the 3DX is very appealing, both to the eyes and to the ball. I was very surprised to see just how admirably the Nickent 3DX performed on the course. Every once in awhile a relatively unknown club designer comes along and introduces a brand new club design that marvels both the critics and the users, and I feel that in the world of hybrid irons that club is the Nickent 3DX.

The Nickent 3DX is constructed very similarly to the Callaway Fusion series, which is one of the most popular set of irons on the market. A cast, stainless steel club head with a deep cavity that is covered by a graphite cap, and you have one of the most positive game improvement hybrid irons recently released. This design allows the 3DX to achieve a lower center of gravity and a higher launch angle, two aspects of the club that are going to improve almost any users game. The Nickent 3DX Hybrid Irons does a great job of standing up to the big dogs like Callaway and Adams, and holding their own on the course.

The design and technology featured in the Nickent 3DX Pro irons are nothing to turn your nose at. These irons construct a tungsten composite sole weight, and solid, stylish, understated backs. They have a topline that is average in thickness, and a very consistent blade length throughout the entire set. The markings on the 3DX Pro irons are stylish as well, as a dash of color complements the brand and series signatures.

When I took the Nickent 3DX Pro irons out on the course I was unsure what to expect. I was a fan of their hybrids, but that is to be expected with Nickent. The club has a little more power than I was expecting, as a few of my first shots went much further than I was originally intending. However, once I adjusted my strength and got a little more accustomed to the clubs I found it performed very favorably. They are some of the strongest irons I have used, so be aware that they are going to give you a little bit of lift and distance. If you prefer an iron that is going to give you less power and a little more control, I would recommend going with a different brand of irons.
