Light Saber Clubs Needed

Star Wars GolfSome genius decided to combine the popularity of Golf with the uber-geek following of Star Wars and designed a golf bag that, to be honest, ain’t too bad looking.

Someone just needs to design neon-glowing shafts and we’re in business. The power of the “force” meets the power of the drive! Someone will have to pay me royalties for coming up with this stuff!

Used Golf ClubsFor newcomers to the game of Golf, learning how to hit the golf ball can be hard enough without having to think about all the different types of golf equipment there are to choose from out there. When a player is just starting off, the most important for them to figure out first is to learn their swing. During this time, they don’t need to spend thousands on brand new golf clubs because as they learn their swing, they might also learn that those golf clubs weren’t the best choice for them.

Luckily, there are a couple of options for them to choose from:

Rent Golf Clubs at the Driving Range

At most driving ranges, you can go and rent a set of used golf clubs from the pro shop for $5-$25 depending on how many clubs you want. I would suggest just renting a 6 iron and learn the basics of your swing there as to not spend too much money renting every time you go to the course. Once you have a good sense of how your swing is starting to develop, you will want to consider moving up a level to some good used golf clubs.

The Beginner’s Golf Set

Woods - 3 Wood & 5 Wood

A drive won’t be necessary when you’re starting to learn the game as it is a difficult club to hit. A beginner will be able to still enjoy a round of golf by using the 3 Wood as it has more room for error and is less frustrating to hit.

Irons - 4 Iron, 6 Iron, 8 Iron

To cut down on the costs of buying a whole set of used irons, these 3 irons should be able to cover most distances needed to play a round of golf. I’ve excluded the irons 1, 2 & 3 as they are very difficult clubs to hit that require a good club head speed and accuracy to hit the relatively small face of the club head.

Wedges - Pitching Wedge and Sand Wedge

These are two clubs that you will want to practice the most with as they are the two easiest clubs to learn how to hit a golf ball with. Also, they are great clubs to learn your “feel” of the club.

Putter

A Putter is unique to each of it’s owner. You want to choose a putter that you have good control over so you can control the path of your swing. A good weight to the putter is something you should consider so that you begin to develop a good “touch” around the green for distance control.

Golf truly is one of the greatest games in the world and much like life, can be greatly enjoyed if you are equipped with the right tools.

Golf Simulator

For those who live in cold-weather areas of the nation, year-round golf is a pipe dream that usually is lived out by only those in warm weather parts of the country like California, Florida and Hawaii. With the Full Golf Swing simulator, you are enveloped by a screen and two curtains that transports you to great weather, challenging golf courses and the best part - no waiting for annoying drunk five-somes in front of you. So, turn up the heater and get your golf clubs out of your garage.
