GEL Ruby Putter

Golf is a game of history and tradition, and many of the manufacturers that you see on the course today are companies that have been around a long time and have an established amount of prestige.  However, this latest club is from one of the newest companies in golf, GEL.  GEL utilizes grooved clubs to their advantage, and has become more popular recently ever since the development of grooved club faces several years ago.  The GEL Ruby Putter follows this pattern, and works hard to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible.  Even though GEL, which stands for Groove Equipment Ltd., is a new company that is quickly coming along in the world of golf.

Just like many other clubs manufactured today, the GEL Ruby Putter is a healthy combination of performance and aesthetics, but I would say this particular club leans a little heavy on the aesthetics.  While GEL is indeed a new company, they are certainly trying to make a big splash with the appearance of the Ruby Putter.  A sharp, aqua-blue coloring fills in the grooves on the head of the putter, and sit beautifully on a dark, metallic backdrop that blends together perfectly.

The level of performance that the GEL Ruby Putter provides is certainly nothing to turn your nose at, even if it isn't one of the best putters on the market.  It has tremendous feel, something that is important with a putter, and gives a solid and pleasing sound when the club makes contact with the ball.  The feel is much softer than some of the other putters I have tried out, and it is definitely worth a try if you are seeking a new, perhaps edgy putter to add to your bag.
