Or are there shenanigans involved here?

KMAC, once again you have hit the nail on the head. I call shenanigans, or a totally different variables than last year. Regardless, its nice to have the two best drivers sitting in the same bag arguing who's better. I need to shaft up the g25 cuz thats how I roll.

I would game the driver that was 7 yards longer with better dispersion because I'd love the crap out of that driver.  I think all drivers look pretty much the same at address so I could get used to anything.

I think the variables changed because I don't believe they used the same people. Regardless it is about as good a test out there right now. Tough to really be comprehensive when you use only 6 golfers. Maybe using 6 golfers in specific categories would be better? I think an Iron Byron device would obviously be able to give you the best and most consistent testing. You can set the ball off the toe or heel and get the same swing every time. Takes out the tired factor as well

We sure are Chynky, I just got the X Con 6 we both love ready for the RBZ.  With how good I'm hitting that driver with the made for X Con 5 I'm excited again.  I love that shaft.

I never should have sold that Razr Fit with that shaft in it.  I don't think I was ever longer than I was with that driver.

I loved that ****ing driver. I was stupid to get rid of it. That is why I always take a look at Cally drivers. I bet the BB would be good for me. Not the one with the gravity core though as I think I need some spin

Chynky, I think you are right about using Iron Byron as a constant, but then ither variables come into play.  Weather, wind, altitude, length of grass in the range, hardness/softness of the ground, etc.

You're crazy, those other variables would be constants.

You can't take everything out Thresh. What you can do is take the swing out of it though. I think using something like an IB would then at least give you a definitive answer on forgiveness. Then afterr that you would need to pair the head with the right shaft for your swing

IB set at an 'average' SS in an indoor setting is the only true neutral testing option

No but you can at least measure how forgiving the head is. Tempo is more to do with a shaft and thus pairing a forgiving head with a shaft that fits your swing should work. I guess maybe the head could possibly not work well with the shaft but I don't see why that would happen. Tuna I am sure will tell me I'm an idiot lol

Yea but unless u are using the same exact shaft it comes into play.  The oems could send a shaft made for the iron Byron instead of one for actual players.

IB testing is useless to me, IMO. That thing is not a human and I'm more interested in what a human does with a driver.

Of course not because it's pure data and removes all subjectivity out of the equation.  Why would anyone want pure data that couldn't be argued against?  That makes too much sense

I am mad at all of you now and won't participate in a thread so bigoted against Byrons. What are we going to ship all the Iron Byron jobs to Mexico?!

I'd want to see it Chynky, it would tell us two things very clearly.  One: With the same swing speed, which driver has the best ball speed.  Two: You could really test forgivness of the head and give people numbers.
