Hi, my name is Duffer Dave.  I am the Golf Pro at the pitch and putt, Mini-Golf Madness.  I have many duties there, which include running the pro shop, selling hot dogs, ice cream and beer.  I also rent out wedges, 9 irons and putters to the local high school kids. (jerks by the way)

My goal in life is to make to the PGA Tour (fingers crossed).  I play at pitch and putts, Municipal courses and every now and again, I sneak onto a private course near my house using the opening in the wash that runs along the 14 hole.  I only get to play the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and only half the 18th, because the golf return guy wants to hates me.  Everyone hates me because of my mad skills.  I usually break out my range finder that I created from a mirror and toilet paper roll to see where he is standing.  (I'm working on making it a patent).  If he catches me he usually calls the cops, so I always keep some Natty light beer in my sweet Spalding staff bag to give to the Fuzz so they will let me go.  The cops love that Natty light beer.

After all the customers leave the range, I usually keep the lights on for a bit and work on my game.  The other night I hit a ball 140 yards with my driver.  Insane I know!!!

Let me tell you how I got my golf career started.   About 7 years ago I was walking by a golf range, yes the same one I work at now, and saw a striped ball.  I picked it up and it read "Spalding" on the side and had a sweet red stripe around it.  I knew it had to be an expensive ball, so I snuck it into my Chuck Taylor converse's and took off like the wind.  I later took it to the pitch and putt (Par 54) and shot a 104.  I knew something was falling into place then.  I needed a career since, my car broke down and delivering pizza was no longer an option.  I then started to watch golf on TV to study the pros game.   I would watch Tiger Woods on TV and think to myself, can Tiger putt his ball up over a hill, make it turn right over a water bridge, off a cement bumper and into the hole?..... I don't think so! That is when I knew I had a chance at this golf thing.  I have worked hard at my new found skill now for years now.  I hold the course record at my home course, Mini-golf Madness.  How many course records do you hold? I thought so.

My last 18 holes i played at a big course, I totally shot an 82.  Yes I know, I should be on those videos "These guys are good".
