One of the best new drivers for 2010 is the Cobra S2, which is a powerful driver that can be used by both beginners and seasoned veterans to improve their long game. Cobra has long been a big name in golf but recently had a bit of a fall out. However, once I heard some of the rumors surrounding the Cobra S2 I figured it was worth a shot, and I was certainly pleased with its performance. There are two different styles of the Cobra S2 driver, the original and the more customizable offset version. There is a slight difference in price between the two.

It seems that the main thing Cobra was seeking to accomplish with the S2 drivers was customizable distance, something that we should all expect from our drivers. The idea behind the technology was that users could select a face angle that produces the desired ball flight, making it one of the most customizable drivers available. For anybody looking for a more personal approach to driving, the Cobra S2 is a big step in that direction.
One of the other goals with the Cobra S2 had nothing to do with performance, but with appearance. The Cobra S2 looks, well to be honest it looks downright sexy. A sleek, black metal that looks like it could slice through glass with one smooth stroke. It has a very pleasant, aggressive shape that blends perfectly with the color of the club. Another great thing about the S2 is how it features many different tricks that are sure to please all skill sets. It is easy enough for beginners to master and complex enough to allow higher skilled players the challenge of customizing it to improve their game as well.
Overall I was very pleased with the level of performance and customization that the Cobra S2 offered. I felt that it gave me exactly what I was looking for in a new age driver, and it is no surprise that it is a top choice for 2010.
