The Cobra AMP made it to Golf Digest 2012 Hot List. Let's take a moment to see why. The AMP has three face-angle settings, but the real trick is how the swingweight, face curvature and shaft length change depending on the loft. Swingweights get lighter and shafts get longer as lofts increase to give slow swingers more speed and fast swingers more control.
Although the face technology shouldn’t be overlooked, I think increasing the shaft length as the lofts get higher is a nice feature.
The club has an easy swing to it, which is almost self-correcting and unlike a lot of Cobra drivers, it has a nice pop to it. A lot of talk about the orange highlights on the club seem to cause a bit of a distraction for some users.
The biggest thing I can promote about this club is the fact that it's almost impossible to hit a slice with this club, it loves the left side of the fairway.
