The Callaway X Series Jaws CC Brushed Chrome series of wedges is constructed from carbon steel and designed to give the user a large clubface that will provide accuracy and consistency. For this particular set of wedges Callaway added 40 percent more grooves that are deeper but narrower in width. These grooves are forged into the face (rather than milled) to create precise edges and consistent volume. Both help make this a very high-performing series of wedges.
This set of Callaway wedges has good greenside spin and the sound is nice and crisp. These wedges are great for all kinds of shots, and it's no surprise they were named on the 2011 Golf Digest Gold Hot List.
