Lucas Glover came out firing on moving day at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin. He was just a couple strokes away from shooting the magical 59 on Saturday. He still managed to shoot a 10-under 61 and currently sits at a second on the leaderboard.
Glover moved his way up the leaderboard with two eagles and seven birdies on the day. His only blemish was on his first hole where he made bogey on 10. He went on a scoring tear after that. He finished his first nine holes with a 4-under 32 and kept it rolling on the his final nine holes with a 6-under 29.
Lucas Glover is best known for winning the 2009 U.S. Open at the Bethpage Black Course. He has not had much success since that major victory. He has played pretty well to start the wrap around season. He finished with a T-17 at the Safeway Open and a T-14 at the Sanderson Farms Championship. This just might be the round Glover needed to ignite a strong season for him.
