I have always found it interesting how golf swing concepts evolve over time without really changing. Today one of the buzz words is “lag” and how to create it. When I was younger it was referred to as maintaining the angle. It refers to the cocking of the wrists and maintaining the wrist cock until you unload at impact.

It is something that all good players do but the average golfer struggles with. The trick is learning to do it properly. When executed properly it creates great club head speed, but if not done properly it leads to a number of different bad shots.

The video below will explain how it works and how to accomplish it. The person that made the video is one of my favorites named Paul Wilson. He has a whole series of videos on YouTube that cover just about all facets of the swing in an easy to understand fashion.

I hope you learn something that helps you play better and feel free to ask questions or leave comments.
