We’ve all met him! You know the guy that comes over and makes us laugh with his funny stories, but at the same time makes us feel uncomfortable because we can’t look at him without looking at that huge wet stain in his arm pit! Wait, you can’t remember? Well, let me give you a visual:
So, the fine people over at Thompson Tee came up with a new sweatproof technology called “Hydro-Shield” which basically means they put some pads in the armpit area to soak up all the unwanted fluids from leaking out onto your shirt for the world to see.
As I put on the shirt for the first time, I’m not going to lie, it was a little weird at first, but once the pads conform to your body and your armpit gets used to it, you get used to it.
So, to give this a real good test, I grabbed a light blue cotton polo and headed for the range. Grabbed 100 balls and started my drill! I didn’t really think about the hydro-shield while I was hitting, so I guess that’s a good thing. I just wanted to see if the sweat was going to leak through to my polo.
My polo came out nice and dry. No stickiness on my sleeves, back or chest area, which is usually the case after 100 balls. I know this isn’t meant to be a golf product, but if you’re playing a round for business and don’t want to let your clients see you sweat, then this is absolute must for your wardrobe.
Starting at about $24.99, the shirts range in size for both men and women and are a pretty good investment for yourself on and off the course.
