Seven Birdies in a Row for Streelman sinks Competition at Travelers

Kevin Streelman shot his second straight six under par, 64 to finish at fifteen under par. Streelman birdied the last seven holes on Sunday to win by one stroke for his first tour win this year. Streelman started the birdie run on the 12th hole that included a 37 foot putt at the 16th. Sergio Garcia and K.J. Choi tied for second after rounds of 67 and finished at fourteen under par. Aaron Baddeley was fourth at thirteen under par, after a final round 69 on Sunday.

For the sixth straight year at the Travelers the player who held the fifty-four hole lead was unable to win the tournament. The PGA Tour heads to my home state of Maryland and the return of Tiger Woods to the tour next week at Congressional Country Club. Congrats Kevin on a well-deserved win.
