Brittany Lincicome is one of the best golfers, not only on the LPGA Tour, but in the world. Brittany has 5 LPGA Tour Wins, including one Major and 35 top 10 finishes since joining the LPGA Tour in 2004. We were lucky enough to have the chance to talk to Brittany and ask her some questions in this brief interview.
Lincicome started playing golf at the young age of nine years old and won her first amateur tournament that same year. After qualifying for the LPGA tour on her very first attempt Brittany turned pro in late 2004. With her tremendous driving distance off the tee she earned the nick name “Bam Bam” which fits her perfectly. With her smooth and powerful swing Brittany led the tour in driving distance “off the tee” in her first year as a pro. With every tournament that passes Brittany continues to try to improve and put herself in position to win every week.
Playing so many great courses Brittany doesn’t really have a favorite one, but does say Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California makes her smile, thinking of her shot on 18 and her major win in the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship and her leap into “Poppie’s Pond”.
Anytime she can get a chance, Brittany always likes to play with the PGA tour guys and says “I like how they play the course”. Her favorite PGA player would be, Nick Watney “I met him at a pro-am one time and he was great to be around”.
When not on the golf course, Brittany loves to fish, but when she is not out on the water trying to catch the “big one” she loves to play cards and just hang out with her friends.
Brittany would just like to tell the young inspiring golfers out there to “Enjoy the game, don’t think of it like a job, try and make everything fun”.
The future for this brilliant star is unlimited, with her love for the game, family and friends she is a definite future hall a famer.
We wanted to thank Brittany for her time to talk to us here at Bunkers Paradise.
